The original Hochradel homestead. Built in the 1850's in Maybee, Michigan, this is where Johann Hochradel and his wife Katherine settled down to raise the first Hochradel's in America.

During the summer of 1995, William Richard Hochradel travelled throughout Germany visiting towns around the area that the Hochradel's lived. While travelling, he furthered his research of the family name.

Most photos are unknown, possibly a collection of Muehleisen's and Hochradel's. This photo album is a padded velvet wrapped album with a metal latch on the side. Within its pages are original prints including a few tintypes (ferrotypes) which you can find at the end.
